Truck Mode is the commercial-driver profile inside MFAH Navigator. It replaces passenger-car assumptions with a truck profile — gross weight, axle count, height, length and hazmat status — and applies that profile to routing, stop discovery, weather sampling and trip cost.
Routes are requested with commercial-vehicle parameters. When a truck-aware provider verifies the path, it is shown as a truck-restriction verified route. When it cannot, the result is labelled TRUCK ROUTE PREVIEW — NOT TRUCK-RESTRICTION VERIFIED rather than implying a check that did not happen.
Saved equipment profiles let a fleet plan the same lane the same way for every driver, with corridor-level hazard monitoring and hours-of-service feasibility before a load is dispatched.
Showers, food, secured parking, scales, repair and tire service are searchable as route categories along the corridor ahead rather than around an arbitrary map centre.
Truck stops and diesel locations are found along the planned route. Gallons, trip fuel cost and cost per mile are calculated from route miles and your profile's fuel economy. Live retail diesel pricing is shown only where a price provider is connected.
Hospitals, urgent care, public-safety contacts, towing, mobile tire service and truck repair are surfaced relative to your position and route. MFAH Navigator is an information tool and does not replace calling 911 or a carrier roadside programme.
Forecast conditions and active National Weather Service alerts are sampled at points along the route, producing hazard points rather than a single destination forecast.
The planner applies the 11-hour driving limit, 14-hour duty window, 30-minute break and 10-hour reset to the actual route, splitting long lanes into legal days and placing each break and overnight stop at a real truck stop.
Trip context — route, stops, clock and economics — is stored against the trip so the plan is identical on any device. Navigator installs as an application on in-cab tablets and phones. No OEM head-unit certification is claimed.
Integration with fleet management, telematics or ELD platforms is handled case by case through trip inputs. MFAH Navigator does not claim certified vendor integrations or partnerships that do not exist.
