PUBLIC SAFETY

Emergency Services & Roadside Assistance

How MFAH Navigator surfaces emergency, public-safety and roadside assistance information along a route: hospitals, urgent care, towing, tire service and truck repair.

OVERVIEW

What this covers

When something goes wrong on the road, the useful question is what is close and open, not what is nearest to the middle of a map. MFAH Navigator answers emergency and roadside questions relative to where you are and where the route goes next.

DETAIL

Capabilities

Medical and public safety

Hospitals, emergency rooms, urgent care and public-safety contacts are listed by proximity with directions and contact details where the provider supplies them.

Roadside assistance

Towing, mobile tire service, truck repair and heavy-duty capable shops are surfaced for commercial vehicles as well as passenger cars.

Route-ahead search

Emergency and service categories can be searched along the corridor ahead so a driver can plan a stop rather than backtrack.

Weather hazards

Active National Weather Service alerts along the route are shown as hazard points with the forecast conditions at those locations.

Driver alerts

Corridor conditions and hazard changes can be delivered as driver-facing alerts in Truck Mode.

Limits of this tool

MFAH Navigator provides information only. It does not dispatch responders, guarantee availability, or replace calling 911 or a carrier's roadside programme.

QUESTIONS

Direct answers

Does MFAH Navigator provide emergency information?

Yes. Hospitals, urgent care, public-safety contacts and roadside services are discoverable by location and along a planned route. MFAH Navigator is an information tool and does not dispatch emergency services — always call 911 in an emergency.

Can drivers find roadside assistance in MFAH Navigator?

Yes. Towing, mobile tire service, truck repair and truck-capable service locations are searchable near your position or ahead on the route.

Does MFAH Navigator show weather emergencies?

Yes. Active National Weather Service alerts are sampled at points along the route and shown as hazard points, alongside the forecast for those points.

Is emergency information verified?

Locations come from live place data providers. Hours, phone numbers and availability can change, so confirm directly before relying on a listing in an emergency.
