How MFAH Navigator Truck Mode plans commercial-vehicle routes, applies hours-of-service limits, and surfaces truck stops, fuel, weather and roadside help for professional drivers.
Truck Mode is the commercial-driver profile inside MFAH Navigator. It replaces car-first assumptions with a truck profile — weight, axles, height, length and hazmat status — and uses that profile everywhere: routing, stop placement, fuel math and hours-of-service planning.
Every trip begins with your saved vehicle profile. Height, gross weight, axle count and trailer length are passed to the routing engine so the returned path reflects commercial-vehicle parameters rather than a passenger-car shortest path. When truck-aware routing is unavailable, MFAH Navigator labels the result TRUCK ROUTE PREVIEW — NOT TRUCK-RESTRICTION VERIFIED instead of implying a restriction check that did not happen.
The planner applies the 11-hour driving limit, 14-hour duty window, 30-minute break rule and 10-hour reset to your actual route and places the required break and overnight shutdown at real truck stops along the way.
Truck stops, diesel, parking, showers, scales, repair and tire service are searched along the corridor rather than around an arbitrary map centre, so results are usable at highway speed.
Where a live provider is not connected — for example retail diesel prices or weigh-station status — Truck Mode labels the feature unavailable rather than displaying an estimate as fact.
No. Truck Mode is a profile inside MFAH Navigator. Switching to it changes routing parameters, stop categories and trip planning to commercial-vehicle behaviour.
Core routing, hours-of-service planning and truck service discovery are available at no cost. Owner-operator accounting, load economics and broker tools are paid tiers.
